Kimora Lee Simmons has a brand name that sells clothing for women and young girls as well as cell phone accessories, shoes, jewelry and fragrances. This brand name is known as Baby Phat, and it is a line of “urban fashion” clothing and accessories. Although Kimora Lee Simmons was responsible for designing the brand name, she separated herself from the brand in August 2010, making the announcement on her Twitter account.

Baby Phat is a clothing company that has established itself in the fashion world as being a premier metropolitan-style brand. When the brand was first forged, the only piece of clothing was a tiny baby tee with “Baby Phat” scrolled across the front. PHAT is an acronym that stands for “Pretty, Hot and Tempting”, which has been an important aspect when designing clothing for the line since its inception in 1991. There is also a “brother company” which is Phat Farm, created by a man named Russell Simmons, related to Kimora Lee Simmons.

Baby Phat also has a secondary division known as Baby Phat Scrubs. The Baby Phat logo is a stylized cat logo, and it is printed on some of the clothing in the line including the Baby Phat scrubs products which are lab coats, scrubs and other medical uniforms that are available in a variety of different prints. The clothing line carries a wide variety of different types of clothing, including regular women’s sizes, plus sizes, younger girls’ sizes, lingerie, accessories, footwear, hand bags, beauty products and outerwear. Some of the jewelry items that are in the lineup also feature the cat logo that is characteristic of the brand. The clothing line, which features bright colors and sophisticated styles, includes dresses, jump suits, tops, jeans, pants, leggings, skirts, outerwear, jackets, sweaters, swimwear, lingerie and other signature items.
